i know thats an interesting question to ask the chaos magic crowd but i still want to ask. what have your experiences with it? any books or texts that propelled your initiation into that system? most importantly, what kind of results have you gotten?

I've never been able to get into it. It seems like just too damned much work for very little discernable result.

the work is complex, put when put into an easy to use context, is simple.

recite enochian key, call on celestial hierachy to get to the elements you want to work with, charge the daemons with your task, dismiss to do the work. the primary enochian context is done on the astral plane.

thus far with enochian my work has been entirely on the astral as I'm somewhat inclined to avoid ritual work prefering to utilize my own facilities mostly...the exception, in my case, with this sytem is utilizing enochian chess (an excellent form of divination, better than most really...) as a means of manifesting with the passive approach I take to the rest of this system (sorta taoist in nature and after all enochian may inherently lend it's self toward passivity, since of course it is rather lunar in nature) my results thus far have been oriented towards being able to access elemental sub planes via the astral plane and communication with seniors, they're rather benign, passive archetypes, with a happy air/vibe about them and the resulting insights from my communications with them have essentially been an alternate vantage point to apply to system like the qabbalah, result are sparse in a timeframe I suppose but I do no invocations instead waiting for synchronicity to move me in the direction to scry a certain area of interest in the system, so I am satisfied with the frequency of results all the same...sometimes forces contact you through the astral when the time is right, no? anyways, as far as books that sum up the enochian system I've not really found any it's too intangible and intuitive, methodology and reference materials are contained in multitudes of places, but among the works I've found interesting as of late have been that of Benjamin Rowe...some of his esoteric ideas have great merit, yet his claims at time can make it hard to swallow the whole...so verdicts still out there...anyways, I apologize for my ramblings...what experiences have you had with enochian?

my friend and i have done openings by watchtower and the elemental tablets. working up to a point where we will eventually explore the aethyrs. IMO immersion leads to understanding. we started really slow, working first on crafting our own materials (tablets, lamen, 'shew stone' etc.) and then worked on pronunciation and syntax. there is a lot of conflicting research out there. we have the original john dee writings on .pdf, and then use source material from Crowley's books, Enochian Sex Magick, the Enochian dictionary, Duquette's works, and trial and error to hit a solid middle ground. most of the outcomes of our workings has been in the realm of phenomena. such as misty breath, mirrors reflecting upside, down, audio feedback in the form of whispering voices, time distortion, and physical discomfort such as extreme temperature shifts and heart palpitations. obviously we still have a lot to iron out. we jumped in feet first and have subsequently focused more and more of our energy on preparation such as meditating and fasting prior to Enochian work, BANISH BANISH BANISH before and after, and lots of practice. overall i find the system to be intriguiging and worth the effort. i have felt the power and legitamacy, now just working on efficacy and manifestation. i have yet to try Enochian chess, anyone recommend a good resource on exploring this?

Israel Regardie in his Complete Golden Dawn book gives outlines of Enochian Chess. I'm sure you'd find stuff online about it. How much of the material have you memorized for a working? I'm working on memorizing the First Call right now, and even on these practice recitals, I quickly find myself in a deeply meditative state of no-mind.

I'm on vacation at the moment but when I return I'll upload and seed a torrent to the PC version of enochian chess and add a link here...you might be able to go ahead and request a reseed on conspiracycentral.net's board and it may get seeded on their tracker...great system for manifesting it really is...

yeah it is a lil' spooky, I kinda like that, it'll glitch in weird ways at times too, like right when you're about to win, or when you're playing a game for a crazy question ("me vs. the illuminati" never fails to crash! ahahaha) and damn, the playing the game against dead esotericist....? another good creepy element...but, I do think he provides pretty descent, easily viewable correspondences to each square too, so if nothing else you can atleast semi-intuit the meanings...anyways I know I still haven't gotten around to U/Ling it elsewhere so if anyone needs a demonoid invite, jus' lemme know, but give it time I'll put it on a different tracker...

I've always wanted to learn enochian chess too. Chess is interesting game overall, and from my research has seemed to shift paradigms from what it was originally designed to be a game of.
