I think anything by Wilson is wonderfully worth while but the Illuminatus Trilogy in particular is a roller coaster ride designed to trip you through all kinds of shifts in perception and reality and is therefore designed to not be all that linear or even sometimes clear... if you are up for a sprawling fun then you'll get into it.... if you need it to all make sense you may feel frustrated. IF you find that you just aren't accessing the wave, I think it is critically worth while to then go to one of Wilson's other books like Cosmic Trigger ( a must ) or the wonderful Schrodinger's Cat Trilogy which is much more linear even if the three chapters are from different POV's. cheers

Thank you Rev, I didn't have time to read it so i saved it. Will read it later. I have a question though, I have attempted to read The Illuminatus by Shea and Wilson several times, but can't seem to push through. Is there anything of value in that story, or is it just a big joke?
